Fun and Interesting Places to Visit

Firesign Theatre

John has a long and ocassionally interesting relationship with the Firesign Theatre.   He was responsible for their 2001 PBS Special,  “Weirdly Cool” and the troupe’s appearances on NPR’s “All Things Considered”.  He is credited as Executive Producer on the Artemis Records release of the NPR contributions, aptly titled “All Things Firesign.”

And, Peter Bergman has revived “Radio Free Oz”, the name of his radio show where the Firesign Theatre first came together in the 1960s.  Today it is on the web and podcasts with new material from Peter and fellow Firesigner David Ossman.  Worth the listen at www.radiofreeoz.com

Jeffrey Gitomer

If you are in sales, in any way shape or form, get to know Jeffrey Gitomer.  I am not a big one for motivational speakers, but Jeffrey’s message is clear, on-point, and outrageously entertaining. His weekly “Sales Caffeine” is often that kick in the b*tt that we all need.  And even if you don’t consider yourself a salesperson, his “Yes! Attitude” message is of value to all.
